Kang Jin-Hyuk is a tall, strikingly handsome young man with a muscular build, gray eyes, and sharp facial features. His black hair falls in bangs that nearly reach his eyes. When he uses his powers or experiences strong emotions, his eyes glow purple, and his features become more defined. His wardrobe varies between light and dark tones, often opting for sleek, stylish outfits like tailored suits or long hooded coats. During raids, he usually sports casual jackets as he conquers each floor.
Personality[]
Kang Jinhyuk can best be described as determined, confident, and daring. He is rarely unnerved or intimidated by any challenges he faces, partly because he has already completed the tower once before. Even with his life truly on the line during the climb, he acts boldly, quickly, and thinks fast under pressure. Many around him have noted his lack of hesitation and refusal to back down from a challenge.
On the flip side, Kang Jinhyuk can be overconfident and may underestimate circumstances. This is partially due to his experience completing the tower when it was still a game. Having played the same scenarios hundreds of times, he doesn’t expect things to deviate much from his previous experiences. However, this has led to grave errors in judgment; while he can predict the actions of the tower's residents, he can be caught off guard by the actions of the players actively climbing the tower. In one such instance, this tragically led to the attack on China by the three calamities, resulting in many lives lost.
Background[]
He was an orphan, whose parents abandoned him right after the day he was born. Nevertheless, he lived his life optimistically, doing everything to survive with a smile on his face in the middle of an unfair world filled with cheaters, scammers, thieves, and traitors.
Years later, he became an independent man, a hardcore gamer, and a newtuber, who spent 11 years of his life playing the nearly impossible-to-defeat online game Tower of Trials. After many trial-and-error attempts, Jinhyeok became the first person to complete the game, a feat that no one other than him managed to achieve.
Upon defeating the game, however, a message regarding a reboot version of the Tower of Trials was delivered to Jinhyeok, who was already content with his progress of completing the game by himself after 11 long years.
However, this message was the start of events escalating to rather dangerous heights. Approximately two days after receiving this message, Jinhyeok was shocked to see the news of towers resembling the Tower of Trials appearing all around the world. He soon realized that the "reboot" of the game was actually a trial of 90 days that humanity was given to overcome the game in real life, where if no one completed the game, humanity would perish.
For everyone, that was complete horror; for Jinhyeok, however, it was a blessing in disguise, as his heart pumped with excitement to experience the game in real life. As someone who completed the game and knows all of its secrets, Jinhyeok strives to save the world from destruction, all while living the fantasy life he always wanted to live to the content of his heart.
